Life doesn't always look the way we want it to.
There are days when everything feels aligned, and there are days when we question ourselves, our choices, our relationships, and even the direction in which life is moving. Over the years, I have realised that we cannot always control what happens around us, but we can consciously choose what we repeat within ourselves.
For me, affirmations are not about pretending that everything is perfect. They are gentle reminders of the person I want to be, the life I want to create, and the beliefs I want to return toespecially on difficult days.
"These are the affirmations I practise every day, regardless of what I may be going through:"
1\. I am happy and joyful.
I remind myself that happiness is not always dependent on circumstances. I can create moments of joy through the way I choose to experience my life.
2\. I am confident and resilient.
I have been through things that once felt impossible to overcome. Every experience has taught me that I am stronger and more capable than I sometimes believe.
3\. I am focused and determined towards my career and my future.
My dreams deserve my attention. I choose to keep showing up for the future I am building, even when progress feels slow.
4\. I practise self-healing meditation daily and consistently.
Healing, for me, is not something I do only when life becomes difficult. It is a relationship I maintain with myself every day.
5\. I am a magnet to abundance; I attract grace into my life every day.
I choose to see abundance not only as material success, but also as opportunities, love, learning, meaningful connections and the grace that quietly finds its way into my life.
6\. I live in harmony with my family and friends.
I choose relationships that allow love, understanding, respect and space for everyone to simply be themselves.
7\. I love and respect myself and everyone around me.
Self-love does not have to come at the cost of loving others. I believe both can exist togetherwith healthy boundaries and genuine respect.
8\. I prioritise my mental peace above everything.
Not every argument needs my participation. Not every situation needs my reaction. Sometimes protecting my peace is the most powerful choice I can make.
9\. I have faith in God and I bow to the divine presence within me.
Faith reminds me that I don't have to understand everything immediately. Sometimes surrender is also a form of strength.
10\. I am born bold and beautiful.
I don't want my sense of beauty or worth to depend on how I am perceived. I remind myself that there is something powerful about owning who I am, unapologetically.
11\. I live in harmony with my thoughts.
I am learning not to fight every thought that enters my mind. I observe, understand and choose which thoughts deserve my energy.
These affirmations are not magic words. They are intentions.
The more we consciously repeat something, the more familiar it becomes to our mind. And sometimes, when life feels uncertain, having a few words to return to can create a little space between what is happening outside us and what is happening within us.
So, regardless of what life looks like today, I return to these words.
Not because everything is perfect.
But because I choose to believe that the way I speak to myself matters.
An Important Note
Affirmations are not meant to deny difficult emotions or convince ourselves that everything is fine when it isn't. Healing also means allowing ourselves to acknowledge what we are genuinely feeling.
Use these affirmations as gentle remindersnot as a replacement for processing emotions, seeking support, or taking necessary action in your life.
A gentle reminder
You may not believe every affirmation when you first begin. That is okay. Read them slowly, consistently and with awareness. Over time, they can become a more compassionate way of speaking to yourself and reconnecting with the possibilities within you.
"You don't have to feel positive every day. You simply have to stay connected to yourself."
If any of this resonated,
I'd love to explore it with you.
